Last week, I signed up for Adult Art Camp at SVSU. It was the best week of 2019 so far for me! Not only did I have a lot of fun, but I also found a new hobby. Every day, I learned something new and the feeling was terrific! It rejuvenated my soul as I concentrated on my projects. We made wire window ornaments, experienced Chinese brush bamboo painting, created monoprints, and last but not least, we did relief prints. Here is the result of some of the work I did in the 5 days:

The camp felt like a meditation session when one only focuses on one thing – to create beauty. The classes calmed me down, and time went by so fast. Every day I worked past lunch time, and didn’t feel that hungry. I reached an amazing state of mind, and I can’t express how much pleasure it gave me. I felt achieved and content. Arts make wonders (and so does music)!! I already have my next relief print idea. Who wants to see it? 🙂
Here is the link to the flyer for the camp. SVSU hosts it every year, one for adults and several for kids. The art camp was taught by Ju Yu Chen, Valerie Trombley, Nancy Brooks Siebert, and Andrea Ondish. Thank you all so much for the SO MUCH fun Adult Art Camp!!
