It felt so good to return to First Presbyterian Church at Caro today. I performed there in October of 2018, and today, it felt even better since their 1904 Steinway model A piano has undergone some work. The sound and action has improved so much. It is a blessing to play on such a beautiful instrument. I played Debussy’s Suite Bergamaque and Ravel’s La Valse. One member came to me afterwards, telling me his passed wife’s favorite music was Claire de Lune. The piece was played on her funeral and he was happy to hear it today. This kind of story moves me so much and I am so glad that I could share my music with people. The connection you feel in music is really something beyond words can express. The value of music is to connect with people, and make the world more beautiful. This is the mission I have in this life and I will keep playing until the day that I can not anymore. Until next time, ciao ciao.
